Doug also aggressively focused the company on reaching mobile users, launching Ask mobile applications for Android and iPhone as well as a growing suite of stand-alone apps spun out of the Ask experience. With Doug at the helm, Ask saw more than 25 percent user growth in 2011 with a 700 percent increase in annual profits and close to 2 million downloads of its mobile apps.

Earlier in his career, Doug ran the product organization at Ask, bringing award-winning products, like Ask 3-D to market. Before this, he spent five years at Yahoo!
