As CEO of Ask.com, Doug Leeds leads marketing, BD, strategy, product and technology internationally for Ask.com, one of the biggest consumer Internet companies in the world with more than 90 million unique users in the U.S. alone.
Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2010, Doug served as President of Ask.com U.S., where he oversaw the company’s shift to a Q&A model that employs human-powered answers, in addition to search, to address user questions. Mr. Leeds also previously served as Chief Operations Officer of Ask Network, and President of Dictionary.com.
Before joining Ask.com, Mr. Leeds spent almost five years at Yahoo! (including Overture Services), most recently as vice president, Global Product Justice, where he led the development of reputational products and services as well as oversaw product policy and legal compliance for all Yahoo! products and services worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Doug held senior positions at mobile ISP OmniSky and mobile carrier Vodafone. He also founded BootSpace, an advertising software start-up, where he served as CEO.
Doug has served on the Board of Directors of TRUSTe and was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Mobile Marketing Association.
He received his B.A. with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley and his JD, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
