Donald is a Venture Partner at General Catalyst, focused on leading investments in early stage enterprise software, software-as-a-service, open source, mobile, data science, and cloud computing companies.

Donald comes to General Catalyst from Greylock Partners. While at Greylock, Donald led Greylock's Series A investment in Typesafe, and served as CEO for its first year of operations.

Prior to Greylock, Donald was Vice President and General Manager of Online Services at Red Hat, where he oversaw new product launches including Red Hat Enterprise Linux on Amazon EC2. Prior to that, he led product management for Red Hat’s flagship Enterprise Linux product line, the leading commercial open source operating system. Previously, Donald was in consulting and development roles at Inktomi and Oracle.

Donald received a BS in Economics and Computer Science from Yale University, an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
