Derrick Horner has been named Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Vibrant Media. Horner is responsible for Vibrant’s global legal activities and will be the primary interface to the company’s outside counsel. He serves as the corporate secretary on board of directors’ matters and will support the company’s efforts in regulatory and legislative matters, protection of its intellectual property and corporate development.
Horner has a broad range experience, including several years of corporate and deal practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and tenure as General Counsel and head of corporate development at public and private companies such as Source Media, 24/7 Real Media, and Vizible Corporation.
He was Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Massive Incorporated, the world’s first dynamic in-game advertising network, where he led the company through its acquisition by Microsoft.
At Massive, Horner negotiated in-game advertising deals with top brands including Electronic Arts, 2K Sports, Major League Baseball, THQ, Atari and WebZen among others.
Horner received his B.A. from Harvard University and has a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.
