Derrick Horner has been named Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Vibrant Media. Horner is responsible for Vibrantâ€™s global legal activities and will be the primary interface to the companyâ€™s outside counsel. He serves as the corporate secretary on board of directorsâ€™ matters and will support the company’s efforts in regulatory and legislative matters, protection of its intellectual property and corporate development.
Horner has a broad range experience, including several years of corporate and deal practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and tenure as General Counsel and head of corporate development at public and private companies such as Source Media, 24/7 Real Media, and Vizible Corporation.
He was Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Massive Incorporated, the worldâ€™s first dynamic in-game advertising network, where he led the company through its acquisition by Microsoft.
At Massive, Horner negotiated in-game advertising deals with top brands including Electronic Arts, 2K Sports, Major League Baseball, THQ, Atari and WebZen among others.
Horner received his B.A. from Harvard University and has a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.
