Derek Wall

Derek is an Internet veteran and serial entrepreneur with nearly 2 decades of starting, building and growing companies.

Currently he serves as Founder/CEO of VAULT.

Prior to VAULT he was Founder & President of BuyNow a wholly owned subsidiary of Internet retail giant buy.com. At BuyNow he was the founder of the shopping comparison feature within buy.com, which fundamentally changed the online retailer importing hundreds of resellers and adding millions of new products. Upon a successful launch of the shopping comparison feature, he launched a division from scratch that focused on key product deals that are sent daily to millions of customers. This venture has led the Company to processing millions of orders and hundreds of millions in revenues. He was instrumental in helping buy.com achieve profitability for the first time from its inception. He was part of the team that turned the Company around which led the Company to a successful acquisition to Rakuten for $250M in June 2010.

Prior to buy.com, Derek held stints at PriceGrabber, the leading online shopping comparison site, which was acquired by Experian Interactive for $485M. In the mid-nineties he was the Co-Founder and CEO of OfficeExpress and President of TechStore e-Commerce sites, which was subsequently purchased by publicly held Internet software incubator eMarketplace.

Derek first cut his teeth in business at the age of 23 where he founded one of the first snowboard companies. He served as the Co-Founder & CEO of Crown Distribution a Manufacturing and Distribution Company in the snowboard industry. Within two years he led the company to an acquisition to a public Company.

Currently Derek sits on the Board of Directors of OnlyWire a leading social media publishing Company, Kijubi, and VANITI the worlds first Boutique marketplace.
