As Country Manager MySpace Benelux, Derek is responsible for generating users, revenue and notoriety for the site throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.
Prior to joining MySpace, helped establish LookSmart in Europe, setting up headquarters in Amsterdam and managing international growth from there. After joining the joint-venture between British Telecom and LookSmart, BTLookSmart, he took on the business development activities for the Benelux region, and was responsible for generating an 85% internet penetration for the BTLookSmart directories in that region.
