Deepak Gupta

Deepak joined BBVA Ventures in 2012 and is focused on data analytics and security & fraud. He is also a mentor at 500 Startups. Prior to BBVA, Deepak worked at Hercules Technology Growth Capital (AMEX: HTGC), a public company in the field of investment in Palo Alto, CA. At Hercules, he was an investment professional working closely with technology and cleantech companies. Deepak has also co-founded and seeded a company, Urbanindo.com in May 2011. The company received series A funding in March 2012. Prior to Hercules, Deepak has rich and diverse experience working in multiple startups with responsibilities spanning R&D, operations, sales, field support and finance.
Deepak holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
