Deap Ubhi

Deap Ubhi is currently the founder and CEO of Luxe Commerce Inc., which owns and operates hopscout.com, a daily deal online story for simple, timeless and classic children’s products. He was the founding CEO of burrp.com, a local search startup based out of Mumbai, India, or India’s answer to Yelp. The company was ultimately acquired by publicly traded yellow pages company, Infomedia 18 Ltd, subsidiary of publicly held Indian media conglomerate, Network 18.

Deap was born and raised in Marin County, California and attended the University of California, Davis, where he graduated in Management Economics with high honors. He then moved to Marsh & McLennan Company and was a co-founder of their internal strategic M&A division. From there, he moved to Alpine Investors LLC, a middle market leveraged buyout firm based in San Francisco.
