David was founding CEO, and is presently Board Director of Metamarkets, a world leader in large scale data analytics, based in South Park, San Francisco.
David has a decade and a half of financial markets and tech startup experience, running the gamut from quant modeling, to product design, to corporate strategy. He advises established companies on digital, data and monetization strategies.
David actively invests in and supports early stage companies in getting products to market.
David has an academic background in Linguistics, History and Economics, with undergraduate degrees from Columbia University, magna cum laude, in Near Eastern Linguistics; and graduate degrees from University of California, Berkeley, in Economics and Ancient History. David has been a Javits, Pritchett, Mellon and Empire State Fellow.
Prior to co-founding Metamarkets, David was Lead Architect at Rapt where he developed a suite of electronic media pricing information products until Rapt’s acquisition by Microsoft. Previously, David was a Quant and Equity Analyst evaluating multi-asset class trade strategies and consulting on trade apps development for three major Wall Street firms.
