David is a partner at SEP and specialises in investments in technology opportunities in the oil and gas and renewable sectors.
He has been involved in the energy industry since 1988 and investing in the sector since 1991, leading investments in companies involved in all aspects of the industry, including downhole products, geophysical services and completion systems.
His current investments include: ARKeX, a company developing a gravity gradiometer device for airborne exploration for oil, gas and minerals; and Atraverda, a manufacturer of ceramic batteries. David also led SEP’s investment in MTEM, the electromagnetics survey technology company which was sold to Petroleum Geo Services for $275 million, less than three years after spinning out from the University of Edinburgh.
