David Reitman has over 20 years of experience within the Internet & Technology space supporting or working for Media, Entertainment, Video Game & Enterprise companies as a Senior Business Development & Sales Executive securing strategic partnerships, content for distribution and leading enterprise and vertical focused teams.
Most recently as the CEO and Co-Founder of OHDOSO. OHDOSO is an Over-The-Top (OTT) Entertainment Distribution startup that assembled a global Entertainment Distribution Network (EDN) delivering a socially interactive user experience and Content within the Diaspora, Lifestyle and Edutainment genres.
Previously as the VP of Business Development at Gaikai, working with all of the major Consumer Electronics companies, MSOs & Carriers, Digital Distribution Providers (i.e. Valve/Steam, Digital River, IGN/Direct to Drive, and Amazon) creating strategic alliances and game publishers to bring them onto the Gaikai platform.
As an Executive leader at Equinix / Switch and Data and AT&T, leading vertically focused practices of cross-functional Team of sales, product and engineering executives that supported media & entertainment companies with large scale Online Infrastructures to support Massively Multiplayer and Social Games, Cloud Infrastructure, Digital Distribution of Media (i.e. Music, Film, Gaming & Software), Streaming Services, and Content Distribution Networks.
An instrumental figure within the Digital Media & Online Gaming industry, as the Executive whose Teams supported the following Platforms: Disney/ABC, Facebook, Amazon, CBS, CNET, Napster, Netflix, DirecTV, Wikipedia, Microsoft, Google, Real Networks, Blizzard Entertainment (World of WarCraft & BattleNet), Sony (PlayStation Network, EverQuest, EverQuest II, StarWars Galaxies, PlanetSide, & Vanguard), Turbine (Asheron’s Call), Microsoft & Microsoft Game Studios (Xbox 360 Live platform), Codemasters, Konami, Onlive Game Services, Gaikai and Big Fish Games.
Prior to Equinix/Switch and Data, David was with AT&T, where he was the Practice Director responsible for AT&T’s Digital Media & Online Game Group, as well as, the leader of AT&T’s global Strategic Technology Solutions Team. David had been involved with the Group since its inception leading his Team’s in-year revenue growth to over $800M, from $500k in 7 years.
Additionally, David was a committee team member with the Project Nigel JV, representing AT&T. This JV focused on creating the methodologies needed to support digital distribution of content, their associated platforms and underlying digital rights management technology in order to distribute protected copyright content. This JV’s members included AT&T, BMG & Universal Music and resulted in creating the standards all subsequent digital distribution platforms adhere to today.
Prior to joining AT&T, David led CERFnet & EarthLink’s Sales Teams supporting Data Center products. Before joining the Internet industry, David was an Executive within the Music Business. He led an artist management firm for over 8 years managing artists on Warner Brothers, Elektra and Sony.
David is a regular conference speaker/panelist at the video game & digital media conferences throughout the world for topics that include: Best Practices of MMOG deployments, Cloud Video Game Technologies, Digital Distribution of Games, Content in the Cloud to name a few.
