David Pakman is a digital entertainment entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He is currently a Partner at Venrock, an early-stage venture fund where he focused on digital media and consumer startups. Most recently he was the CEO of eMusic, the online music retailer. He previously founded the digital music locker company MyPlay with Doug Camplejohn. Myplay was sold to Bertelsmann eCommerce Group in 2001.
He has worked at Apple, N2K and Bertelsmann.
He is an Overseer of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
