David Ossip

David Ossip is a serial entrepreneur. He recently founded Dayforce that delivers SaaS (on demand) enterprise solutions that enable organizations to integrate performance objectives into the planning, scheduling, and management of their employees resulting in optimal organizational performance and profitability.

His last business, Workbrain, was sold in June 2007 to Infor Global Solutions for $227 million.

David Ossip founded Workbrain in 1999 and was Workbrain’s Chief Executive Officer and President. From its inception in 1999, Workbrain expanded its operations across three continents and, in 2003, became the first Canadian technology company to complete an initial public offering in over three years. That same year, and again in 2004, Workbrain received the Canada’s Best 50 Managed Companies distinction and the Profit Magazine recognition as one of the fastest growing companies in the country. In 2005, Workbrain placed second in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, and 24th in Deloitte’s Fast 500 ranking of the fastest growing technology companies in all of North America. In 2006, Workbrain ranked second in Profit Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies, and 2007 Workbrain ranked 22th. Workbrain was sold to Infor Global Solutions in June 2007 for $227 million

Mr. Ossip was selected to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40™ in 2004, and was distinguished by Ernst & Young with both its emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award® and its nationally awarded Special Citation for Technology Innovation. In 2005, Mr. Ossip received the Kroeger College Award for Management based on his “record of industry leadership, product innovation, and financial success.” Mr. Ossip is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
