David Nam is a seasoned media executive with a strong history developing product, marketing, business development and customer-relations strategies to maximize the value of entertainment and multimedia products and services.
As VP Marketing and Communications at MXP4, David was responsible for the company’s product, brand, and sales strategies, user acquisition and retention, establishing relationships with major and top independent music labels and high-profile brands. David helped drive adoption and increased usage by over 300% of the companyâ€™s interactive music and social-music gaming apps by over 120 top music artists from major and top indie labels. During his time at MXP4 David also played an integral role in closing funding for the company at a total of $6.7 Million.
David served as Head Creative and Marketing Director for lifestyle site Gekko, where his expertise in brand and marketing strategy, business development, SEO helped shape the companyâ€™s revenue streams, partnerships and user base.
Previously, David was Head of Marketing at Last.fm (London), where he managed the creative, product, and development teams on all marketing and advertising initiatives. During his tenure at Last.fm, David also created the successful Last.fm/Presents global live music marketing program.
David is currently a Strategic Consultant for Grandcrew, a leading online live music platform where they solve the problem of bringing the live music experience to fans online, everywhere and at Herd.fm, a social music discovery platform based out of Toronto, Canada.
David is also an active investor for hipsell - currently in launch phase.
