Argento Partners
David Murray is a globally experienced business development executive. He has extensive senior relationships in Fortune 500 firms in Europe and the Americas, with experience in energy, chemicals, financial services, and latterly within technology in software, communications, digital, social commerce and new media.
David founded Argento Partners in 2006 as a specialist business development and sales execution consultancy that helps emerging technology companies accelerate sales growth and market leadership. It typically works closely with a small portfolio of companies over an extended time period. Through this work it prepares clients for funding rounds and advises on investment and exit strategies.
He has advised or been appointed CEO to several software and internet start-ups since 2000 including Beans for Business, Kadius Systems and OWJO working extensively on the West Coast and NYC as well as in Europe.
Previously David was Global Marketing Manager at Shell Chemicals in London and Houston ($20 billion turnover, 20,000 staff). He authored a global patent for recyclable systems whilst at Shell.
David received a business degree from Dublin City University in 1987, and executive education from Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, Instead and IMD. He later served on the DCU Business School Board (1997-2001). David has advised several Enterprise Ireland high potential start-ups and was a Mentor to the Dublin Institute of Technology for their acclaimed International Selling Program (2005-09). He has contributed to international academic journals and industry press on sales, marketing, advanced technologies and renewable energy topics.
