David Mendels

David Mendels brings nearly two decades of experience as a general manager, corporate strategist, thought leader, and deal maker focused on making the Internet easier to use for consumers and developers. Mendels is a recognized leader in the development and strategies behind rich Internet applications.

At Macromedia, Mendels served as executive vice president and general manager, leading product development, marketing, and alliances including the setup and launch of international operations in Latin America and Japan. In this role he directly managed Macromedia’s flagship products, including the Flash and Flex line, Macromedia Studio and ColdFusion. Mendels joined Adobe following its acquisition of Macromedia in December 2005 and led the company’s Business Productivity business unit where he was responsible for $1 billion in revenue from products including Adobe Acrobat™, Acrobat Connect™, LiveCycle and Flex.
