David Maisel has been Executive Vice President - Corporate Development of Marvel Entertainment Inc. since September 29, 2005 and also serves as its Executive Vice President of Office of Chief Executive. Mr. Maisel served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Marvel Studios for Marvel Enterprises Inc. since January 2004. He served as a Manager in the entertainment and media practice of The Boston Consulting Group. He then joined Creative Artists Agency, working closely with CAA founder Michael Ovitz to facilitate deals like Matsushita’s sale of MCA Universal to Seagram in 1995. Later, he joined The Walt Disney Company, as Director of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning. From October 2001 to November 2003, Mr. Maisel headed the Corporate Strategy and Business Development for Endeavor Agency, a Hollywood literary and talent agency. From September 1999 to September 2001, he served as Managing Director of Chello Broadband in Europe. From June 1998 to June 1999, he served as President of Livent, Inc., a live theatrical production company. He has over 16 years of diverse entertainment industry experience. He has been Chairman of Marvel Studios of Marvel Entertainment Inc., since March 13, 2007 and previously, he served as its Vice Chairman since September 29, 2005. Mr. Maisel was a graduate from Harvard Business School.
