David Kriegman, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Photometria, is a recognized expert in computer vision and has published over 150 highly cited papers on object recognition, illumination, face recognition, computer graphics, reconstruction, and robotics. He is a Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego., and is on a leave of absence. Previously, he was on the faculties of Yale University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has received a National Science Foundation Young Investigator Award, best paper awards at the IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, the European Conference on Computer Vision, and the International Conference on Computer Vision as well as the Paper of the Year Award from the Journal of Structural Biology. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence. He has been a consultant and served on the scientific advisory board of companies employing computer vision and computer graphics technologies, and he is a co-founder of Kriegman-Belhumeur Vision Technologies, LLC. Kriegman received a B.S.E. from Princeton University, and an M.S and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
