Worked as session musician from 1982-1990 then started a commercial soundstage that dominated its market for ten years. Founded Freetrax with Lars Kilevold in 1999 as one of the first ever music distribution systems. Freetrax had many of the functionalities of todays myspace and facebook (friends social connectivity etc.) but ended up being sold to Telenor who with the help of David Gjester turned the service into a mobile music delivery platform. This platform was again sold to Groovemobile who used it for their proprietary codec. David Gjester worked for Groove mobile signing deals with mobile operators and developing the system further. David Currently is the CEO of UGC ltd. their product thebizmo enables musicians to sell various types of content and actual physical goods from their social network pages and websites. thebizmo also delivers distribution services to artists who want their music on Itunes Spotify amazon etc.
