David is a passionate dealmaker and company builder with over two decades investment experience.
David has served on the boards of numerous private and public companies and has been instrumental to the success of Jefferson portfolio companies including Quack.com (acquired by AOL), iStar (IPO, acquired by PSINET), Wescam (IPO, acquired by L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL)), Applied Terravision (acquired by CGI). David currently serves on the board of directors of Accept Software; Avotus Corporation; BoarderWare Technologies Inc. and Attensity Corporation.
Passionate about social change, David co-founded, and is Chair of eMagine, a national philanthropic initiative that aims to raise $1 billion in commitments from the entrepreneurial and investment community over the next decade. David is a Director and Chair of the Membership Committee of the Canadian Venture Capital Association. He is a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO) and the Ontario Task Force on Competitiveness, Prosperity and Innovation. He is past chair of the National Board of Kids Help Foundation and Kids Help Phone, Canada’s leading kids charity.
