David Curtis

David is a software architect, entrepreneur, and technology investor and is best known as one of the pioneers of distributed object computing.

As a founder and CTO of Expersoft, David designed one of the first distributed object platforms to be used in enterprise IT systems. He was an active contributor to the Object Management Group, where he was a member of the Architecture Board and Board of Directors, and where he also authored several major components of the CORBA family of distributed object computing standards, including the IIOP protocol specification. David also served as Director of Enterprise Systems at Inprise/Borland, and more recently as the founder and CTO of XMology Corporation, where he created a rule-based logic engine for processing XML data.

David’s expertise and experience comprises a variety of disciplines, including distributed simulation, knowledge-based systems, real-time systems, parallel processing architectures, and distributed enterprise computing. In his spare time, David composes and produces electronic music in his home studio.
