David is the CEO and Founder of Trybe, LLC, a web startup in Santa Monica, CA. Trybe is developing a world-class personalization engine, using profiling and matching technologies similar to eHarmony.
David Baird is a web media professional with over a decade of experience managing consumer online businesses. He played a key role in the democratization of financial data through the Internet, empowering individual investors with information previously available only to professionals. As Executive Director of E-Commerce Programming at America Online he was responsible for the overall strategy, business development and programming operations of the Shopping, Personal Finance, Computing, Travel and Small Business categories, which generated over $200M in annual revenue. Recently he was a consultant for the LA Philharmonic, helping them develop and launch their digital media strategy.
