A seasoned veteran of new and traditional media companies, Dave has over 25 years of experience in consumer-focused advertising and business development. Most recently, Dave was the SVP, Business Development at Convergent Companies where he was responsible for corporate communications, business strategy and developer licensing agreements.
Prior to Convergent, he was the VP, Business Development at NetMind Technologies (acquired for $400M by Puma, now Nokia), where he was intimately involved in raising several rounds of venture funding. Under Dave’s leadership, the company created and deployed innovative advertising programs targeted at a growing base of 6 million subscribers. Before that, Dave worked at Apple, where he created their first in-house Internet Advertising Group and developed and managed premium advertising sponsorships for all 170 of Apple’s web sites, including QuickTime.
Dave’s traditional media experience includes working at at the San Francisco Chronicle, a Hearst Corporation property and the San Jose Mercury News. He has also served as an Associate Professor of Advertising at San Jose State University and has lectured at UC Berkeley. Dave is a member of the Board of Directors of i2fx.
