Daryl Hatton is founder, chairman and CEO of ConnectionPoint.
With almost 30 years of experience in the software industry, he has founded multiple startups including Pacific Genesys Development Inc, a document automation company.
As CEO, Daryl orchestrated that company’s sale to Optio Software and became Optio’s CTO. In December 1999, Optio went public on NASDAQ as one of the year’s most successful IPOs raising over US$50M with a peak market cap of over US$500M.
While at Optio, Daryl played an instrumental role on the mergers and acquisitions team acquiring three companies, divesting one and evaluating many others. Products under Daryl’s direct control gave Optio a world leadership position in document automation and contributed over US$200M in license and services sales.
In April 2008, he was a key member of the team selling Optio to its largest competitor. Daryl is currently an advisor to multiple British Columbia software companies including a top 10 competitor in casual gaming for social networks.
