Darby Williams is a high tech product management and marketing professional, with more than 20 years in the software and Internet industries. Darby is the VP of Product Strategy at PowerReviews, responsible for shaping the vision and definition of social merchandising solutions for retailers and social shopping solutions for consumers.
Prior to joining PowerReviews, Darby served as VP of Marketing and Product Management for Active Decisions, the leader in online guided selling software and services for retailers, providing enhanced merchandising capabilities through online personal shopping assistance that increased online conversion, cross-sell and up-sell. Prior to Active Decisions, Darby founded and ran CookExpress.com, an e-commerce food company offering meal solutions nationally and locally over the Internet. Prior to that, he served as Group Product Manager of the Multimedia Systems Group at Microsoft, leading the development and marketing of the now-ubiquitous multimedia computing platform.
Darby has an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago and a B.A. from the University of Virginia, and he was a strategy management consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton in its information technology sector.
