Daniel Issen joined AdBrite in February 2008 as Vice President of Engineering. Prior to joining AdBrite, Daniel managed application and data architecture at PayPal, managed development teams for PayPal Global Operations, was one of 4 enterprise architects responsible for eBay, was Chief Architect at NetSpend, and was the founder and CEO of Whetstone Logistics. At eBay, Daniel was responsible for all aspects of finding, including catalogs, attributes, and search. Daniel was the sole architect for Kijiji, eBayâ€™s catalog system, blogs, and several of eBayâ€™s motor related offerings. Daniel led the re-engineering of search at Mobile.de and tripled the performance of the system resulting in a net savings of a data center. Daniel designed and led the development of Deja.comâ€™s precision buying service that was subsequently acquired by Half.com. Over the last 21 years, Daniel has worked on many highly available and horizontally scalable systems, most notably in the domains of search, financial systems, and operations research. Daniel holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.
