Daniel Desta

Daniel Desta is driven. But his motivation lies not in his own personal gains, but in his passion for helping others. As the CEO of Funding International Exchange, Daniel is able to fulfill that passion for helping others by creating opportunities for his investors to become more profitable.

From the young age of 18, Daniel began his journey after leaving Columbus, OH in pursuit of something bigger. He dropped out of Devry University after his first semester knowing there was something else out there for him other than being a software engineer. Though his family didn’t like the idea they knew something needed to change in order for him to find himself. Daniel moved to California with nothing more than a book bag and a dream.

After a couple months of getting used to the fast city of San Jose, Daniel found an ad in a paper that read,” Looking for Loan officers. No experience needed, will train and you could earn $10,000 a month.” Daniel called the company immediately and set up an interview the following day. Going into this interview Daniel didn’t know what to expect or what to bring to the table. But he knew whatever it was it made more sense then being a software engineer. Walking into the office Daniel realized that he was not the only person being interviewed that day. There where 11 other people waiting to be interviewed at the same time. While in the interview, the President of the company entered the room, making his presence known by just his successful demeanor. He said “Out of the 12 of you, only 1 or 2 of you will make it.” Daniel knew he was going to be that one. After the initial interview, seven people started. After two months, Daniel was the only one left standing. The failure rate was so high because the position was 100 percent commission with no benefits. What made Daniel continue through the tough times were the morals and values in him prior to moving to California.

As time went on Daniel completed his first home loan in the second month of his new position. After learning and understanding the business, and going through the training process, he took off like a rocket. His business was growing at such a great pace, he was surpassing his peers who were veterans of the business. He had an exuberant glow; everyone wanted to work with him or be around him. Daniel valued the relationships with his clients far greater than his paycheck. After a year and a half, Daniel was promoted to Branch Manager. In this position, he created a team of agents he trained and took under his wing. He clung to them like family, missing the love he lacked living in an unfamiliar city. With more growth came more responsibility, and Daniel was ready for every minute of it.

After mastering home loans, Daniel wanted to take on new ventures. Commercial loans began to pique his interests. With a growing reputation in the real estate world, more clients began to come to him with an interest in commercial real estate as opposed to residential business. However, his current company specialized only in home loans. Seeing an open door and an additional avenue of business, Daniel founded and established Funding International Exchange, a company providing privatized funding for major commercial developments.

Though he knew that this task would not be easy, Daniel held fast to the timeless saying, “Where there is a will, there is always a way.” Many people asked how he would create such a successful firm. His approach was simple. Daniel reached out to some of the wealthiest firms, people and families, asking them if investing in various projects would be something of interest to them–adding that there would be a return on their investment. Many investors came on board. As his business continued to grow, Daniel’s investors wanted more opportunities than just commercial projects. Again, Daniel began to expand his knowledge base. He made it his duty to provide yet another avenue to his clients. He reached out to major contacts with banks such as HSBC, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America. The networking paid off. He learned about various trade options, options that he now provides to his investors. “I aim to grow my network by two or three traders a year,” Daniel said, “in order to have a full arsenal of traders.”

With his hands-on approach, Daniel has created a streamlined process of investing, making it easier for his clients to make clear decisions. He has built his credibility by backing his clients’ investments one-hundred percent. If any of his clients’ money were to be lost in a trade, he would refund the initial investment. His passion for the individual strengthens his personal relationships, which is the foundation for his reputable company that trades with the top 25 banks in the world now. Through Daniel’s knowledgeable and informative approach, his clients feel comfortable because they are involved in the process.

Investors trust Daniel to make the best decision for their money because he is not afraid to walk away from a trade. “I would never provide a trade to a client that I wouldn’t do myself,” Daniel said. And that moral mentality is the secret to the success of Daniel Desta.
