Daniel Blackman is the Chief Digital Officer for the Newsweek & The Daily Beast.
Prior to that he was a Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer at Howcast Media. Before Howcast, Blackman worked at Google building strategic content relationships for both the YouTube and Google Video teams. Prior to Google, Blackman was the General Manager, VP at Barnes&Noble.com, where he oversaw the merchandising, editorial, and production operations. Prior to that, at HarperCollins Publishers, Blackman created and ran its first Internet Development Group. He also produced digital media for Lollapalooza and as a commercial producer for advertising agency, J. Walter Thompson. Blackman holds a bachelor of fine arts in film production from New York University.
