Dan York is a writer, speaker, blogger, podcaster and author of multiple books on networking, security, Linux and communications.
York currently serves as the Director of Conversations for Voxeo Corporation focusing on social media and communication. He is also the chairman of the global Voice Over IP Security Alliance (VOIPSA), an industry consortium focused on education around VoIP and unified communications security issues.
Previously, York spent 6 years working for Mitel Networks Corporation in a variety of roles including product management, security and analyzing emerging technology in the Office of the CEO. Prior to Mitel, York led a global initiative to create the Linux Professional Institute (LPI), a vendor-neutral provider of certification for system administration professionals working with Linux.
