Damian Voltes

Damian Voltes is a serial entrepreneur and an angel investor.

In November 2009 he co-founded EmergingCast, Inc. a company focused on an Internet-based model for the professional creation of content at scale in Latin America. In July 2011, Demand Media (NYSE:DMD) acquired the company. Since then, Damian is serving as Managing Director of Demand Media for Latin America.

In June 2003, he co-founded Digital Ventures (aka Directa Networks) and InZearch and grew the business to become one of the leading Ad Networks in Latin America. Both companies were acquired in July 2007 by Fox International Channels, a News Corp. company (NASDAQ:NWS). Post-acquisition, Damian not only focused on the successful integration of the operation, he also helped shape the international expansion strategy for the ad network (now rebranded as .Fox Networks), increasing revenue four-fold and significantly expanded its global operation from 3 offices in Latin America to 21 offices spread across 4 Continents.

Since 1996, during the early years of the Internet and online media business, Damian co-founded CuponesOnline.com, Inc. (a premature version of GroupOn for Latin America), NetKiosk S.A. (Internet Public Kiosks) and Intermarketing Group (Internet Marketing Agency).

Through its fund Patagonia Ventures, he has invested in FnBox, Sonico, Sumavisos, IndexTank, OnTrade, Hunt Mobile Ads, ZetaNet, PixOwl, among other Internet and technology start-ups.

Damian also engages not for profit activities. He is an active contributor and mentor at Endeavor and Fundacion Tzedaka.

He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (Universidad de Belgrano), a Master in Business Administration (Universidad de Belgrano) and a Postgraduate in Telecommunications (Universidad de San Andres & ITBA).

Damian is 40 years old, married since 2001 to Yamila and has two beautiful sons: Federico and Austin.
