Craig Scheffler joined Skybox Imaging in April 2011 as Director of Satellite Access Systems. Craig is responsible for the development and operations of the Skybox satellite mission operations systems. Craig has a passion for building complicated things from concept to deployment.
Prior to joining Skybox, he was a senior system engineer and program manager for 11 years at DigitalGlobe (DGI), a leader in the commercial satellite imaging community. He was responsible for building from ground up DigitalGlobe’s network of remote satellite communication stations as well as several satellite Direct Access Facilities for international customers. Before DigitalGlobe, Craig was a senior manufacturing engineer for Meadowlark Optics, a precision photonics company. There he was instrumental in the development and construction of their new optics manufacturing plant enabling far higher production volumes and yield than before.
Craig earned his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado. At home Craig enjoys fixing and building houses, cars, furniture, and electronics when ever he can find some time for it.
