Craig Ciesla is the co-founder and CEO of Tactus.
Prior to founding Tactus, Craig was a Director at JDSU in the Optical Communications division with responsibilities spanning product management and development, including leading the development of tunable laser products.
Previously Craig has held positions at Intel and Toshiba in the UK and US. At Intel he was initially part of Intel Capital Europe before moving to the US to join the optical components groups as a marketing manager.
Following Intel, Craig joined Ignis Optics, a successful fiber-optics start-up, where his responsibilities spanned product development and supply-chain. His previous product successes include launching over two-dozen fiber-optic products; he has filed over 50 patent applications, published scientific papers and review articles spanning several fields in optoelectronics.
He holds a degree in Applied Physics and a Ph.D. in Optoelectronics, both from Heriot-Watt University in the U.K.
