Cotter is founder and CEO of WhaleShark Media. WhaleShark holds a portfolio of coupon and deal sites, including the largest site for online coupons in the US, RetailMeNot.com.

Prior to founding WhaleShark, Cotter worked as a CEO in residence at Austin Ventures. Before joining AV, he was COO at Bankrate (NYSE:RATE) for eight years.
