Cordell Carter is a national leader in education and workforce policy and strategy. His consulting practice focuses helping education and workforce development organizations create and execute business engagement strategies, define and develop their product/service lines and improve alignment of mission, strategy and operations. He is especially active with STEM organizations and educational products companies.
Most recently, he was Vice President of Public Policy, leading the Education &Workforce; and Information & Technology Committees for Business Roundtable where he successfully lead the CEO association’s cyber security advocacy strategy resulting in House passage of a bi-partisan cyber security legislation. Previously, Carter served Seattle Public School District as its Director, School Support Services Division, Director of Business Systems and Special Assistant to the Chief Financial Operations Officer, respectively, and started his career as a strategy consultant with the IBM Corporation and Deloitte Consulting.
