Conrad is the Director of Marketing for Urbanspoon, the popular restaurant review and reservation site and top 25 downloaded iPhone application. In this role, Conrad oversees the firmâ€™s paid and unpaid marketing initiatives, PR and social media strategies. Conrad is the SEO columnist for Search Engine Land and an ardent proponent of in-sourcing technical marketing.
Prior to Urbanspoon, Conrad was the Marketing Director at Avvo, a legal directory that grew from concept to market leader in three years without spending a dollar on advertising. His experience includes numerous awarding-winning interactive projects for clients including Disney, Nickelodeon, Lego, MTV, Ford, Macromedia, the United Nations, Microsoft, AOL, McDonalds, Mattel and Napster. Conradâ€™s columns have appeared in Search Engine Land, Law.com, Business Insider, ClickZ, Technorati, and Search Engine Strategies Magazine. He is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Washington Technology MBA Program and has spoken at numerous SMX events, SEOmoz Pro Training and SearchFest conferences.
