Clinton Gonsalvez is a Blogger, Tech junkie, Freelancer, and Social Networking Enthusiast.
Clinton is a Metadata and Content Management professional. He started out as a freelancer working on Content Digitization and Metadata projects for Music companies and has worked with the likes of Emi & Sony Bmg. He joined Universal Music Group in 2005, and worked on their Digitization & Publishing Rights projects.
He then went on to work for Hungama Digital Media in 2008 - South Asia’s largest Mobile & Internet based Entertainment Company contributing significant efforts with regard to Metadata strategies & Content solutions towards the launch of their Music store Hungama.com which is India’s largest on-demand Digital Entertainment storefront.
Post that in 2009 he successfully set himself up as an Independent Content Management Consultant providing Metadata & Content strategy solutions for various Content companies & worked with the likes of Star Tv, Spotify & Hulu.
Clinton is an educator on Content Metadata and Workflow issues. He has led efforts to raise awareness of Metadata issues in the content industry in India & promote best practices. He has been an active participant in contributing efforts in defining and developing industry Metadata standards & implementing them as well as strategies for established Music / Content Companies & start-ups. He is sought after as a Consultant by businesses dealing with entertainment forms of content.
He currently works for Jigsee, as Head of Data Strategy & Analytics. Jigsee is a leading provider of adaptive video streaming technology for wireless devices in developing countries & is expanding its presence in India to fuel the deployment of its mobile application in India and neighboring countries.
Clinton is also an active member of the Wikipedia / Wikimedia India chapter and contributes voluntary efforts towards the development of the Wikimedia India foundation. He is currently contributing efforts towards organizing the first Wiki Conference India which is being organized in Mumbai and will take place on 18-20 November 2011.
