Clint Smith is responsible for the company’s legal affairs, including corporate law, intellectual property strategy, commercial contracts, compliance and litigation. Before joining TrialPay, Clint Smith served as general counsel and corporate secretary for MySQL AB and has also headed the legal departments at Macromedia, Inc. and UUNET Technologies, Inc. He received a B.A. from Pomona College, a law degree from U.C. Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law and began his career with the Washington D.C. law firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP.
An experienced technology and corporate lawyer, Clint is a member of the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel and the Association of Corporate Counsel. He has previously held leadership positions with the American Bar Association’s Section of Science & Technology, as well as with the U.S. Internet Service Provider Association (www.usispa.org), the Business Software Alliance (www.bsa.org) and other technology trade associations.
