Christophe founded and is currently Chairman of txtr.com, the largest eBooks distribution network in Europe with shops launching in over 20 countries. Christophe was the founder of gate5, a global leader in mobile navigation software, which he sold to Nokia in 2006. Today the unit which emerged fromgate5, Nokia Maps, employs more than 1000 Employees in Berlin. Christophe was also cofounder of Plazes.com, a company which pioneered “checking-in” (and was bought by Nokia in 2008). Christophe is co-founder of PhoneDeck.com (mobile to browser service) andEye’Em.com (photo-sharing service). Christophe attended school in St.Gallen, ESADE and Stanford and worked in Asia for a few years. Christophe with swiss citizen is active in the Berlin tech scene and was involved in the creation of Brands4Friends, StudyVZ, Plista, Barcoo, AppAware, Amen, Readmill and SoundCloud.com (board of directors). Christophe was named best “Seed investor of 2011 and 2012” by Techcrunch Europe.
