Chris is a Senior Director at AGORA Advisors, Inc., a retail- and consumer brands-focused advisory firm made up of industry veterans.
Previously, Chris served in multiple leadership and executive roles at Gilt Groupe. He was the Head of Strategic Projects for Gilt Groupe, with oversight across the multiple businesses. He also served as the General Manger (SVP) of Gilt MAN and co-founder of Park & Bond (Gilt’s full-price men’s site). In this position, Chris was responsible for the P&L of both businesses, and drove double-digit year-over-year EBIT growth.
Chris’s areas of expertise include business operations and structure, merchandising, marketing, consumer and trend insights/strategy, and team management. Chris joined Gilt in 2010 as the Head of Business Operations for Park & Bond before becoming GM at Gilt MAN.
Prior to Gilt, Chris was a Vice President of the Enterprise Improvement Practice at AlixPartners LLC. He has also served as the COO of two apparel brands, Rogan LLC and Loomstate LLC where he launched two e-commerce websites. A recognized practitioner in the specialty and luxury sectors, Chris began his professional career in the financial services industry at HSBC Holdings plc as an International Officer with stints in the U.K., Russia, Australia, and Hong Kong, before joining the Global Emerging Markets desk to manage HSBC Asset Management’s Latin American equity investments.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University with a B.A. in Comparative Area Studies and Russian, as well as a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies. Chris earned his M.S. in Economics and Social History from Oxford University.
