Chris Ohlund has 15 years logistics and ten years internet experience in both Europe and the United States.
As CEO, Chris led DPD, an â‚¬800m market-leading logistics company in Germany into its most successful era during its 30-year history. He achieved year-on-year organic revenue growth of over â‚¬100m, whilst improving EBIT by 83% or ROS by 350 basis points and improving the companyâ€™s brand image from 26th to 4th within core markets.
As a member of the executive board and SVP Europe at Geodis S.A., Chris turned around the European Division (â‚¬1 billion revenue) from a five-year streak of losses to break even in 2006.
Earlier, he was part of the executive team that transformed online auction site QXL Ricardo plc from a business with a market cap of under Â£750k to an eventual sale to Naspers in December 2007 for Â£946m.
Chrisâ€™s first start-up experience came with Webvan.com, where he successfully ran the first east coast operating site and built an online business with an annual revenue run-rate of over $100m.
Chris is currently partner of the international practice of internet pioneer, Dr. Christos Cotsakosâ€™ Pennington Ventures and serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of publicly listed (Frankfurt ticker: RID) ricardo.de AG (since 2003) and is a director at Shutl (since 2009).
