Chris Hitchen

In 2010 Chris sold Australia’s largest comparison shopping site Getprice.com.au to News Digital Media, News Corp’s digital business in Australia. In his role as Executive Director of local & commerce he remains responsible for Getprice, as well as TrueLocal.com.au and new initiatives. He is also a board member of Ourdeal.com.au, News’ JV with Channel 10.

Prior to Getprice, Chris worked for Lycos Europe (part of the Bertelsmann media group) in Munich, Germany where he was responsible for the expansion of their ecommerce business Pangora into the UK.

Chris is an active angel investor and is a member of the Australian Institute of Directors. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and attended school and university in Melbourne, Australia.
