Chip Brian is an entrepreneur/executive with extensive experience providing vision, operating management, and technology solutions to companies in the financial information services industry.
Mr. Brian is the Founder and CEO of SmarTrend.® In addition to founding SmarTrend, Mr. Brian serves as President and CEO of its parent company, Comtex News Network, Inc..
Previously, Mr. Brian held management positions with corporations including Nyfix Incorporated, the BNY Brokerage division of The Bank of New York, and HotJobs.com, a Yahoo company.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of Comtex; was formerly on the Board of gdgt; is Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America Greater New York Council, and President of the Trinity School Alumni Giving Board.
Mr. Brian graduated from Duke University, and lives in NYC with his wife and sons.
