About Chester
Hi, I’m Chester and I’m the business dude at OpenCandy. Which means I’m mostly focused these days on building and growing awesome partnerships with anyone in the app world.
Prior to OpenCandy, I was at DivX for 7 years in sales and business development, and lucky enough to have been surrounded by prolific teams creating exceptional product; which made my job easy. (BTW, this team is even better.)
My bread and butter at DivX was the software business, which scaled to a distribution and monetization machine. Along the way, I drove DivX into other industries as well, from consumer electronics to social media to online advertising. My gig was a blast, from closing big deals to building big business lines to expanding internationally to managing rock stars. I learned a ton, and am thrilled to be in a position to help other prolific teams creating exceptional products.
I’m a tech fanatic (who can’t build tech so resorts to selling it), a networking junkie, a foodie, a basketball lover, and a Laker hater. LinkedIn, Yelp, and Twitter are the best spots to find me.
