Charlotta Hedman is a Fenno-swedish freelance journalist based in London. She left her job as a TV and online reporter for the Finnish Public Service Broadcaster YLE in early 2009 to try her luck as a free agent. She now writes for TechCrunch Europe, Bitchbuzz.com and also covers a broad range of topics for media in Finland and Sweden. Charlotta mainly focuses on news, current affairs and tech stories and has among other things reported live from the G20 protests for Finnish radio.
Charlotta has also worked as a reporter and photographer for Finnish newspapers and produced and edited several websites for the Finnish Public Service Broadcaster YLE.
She has a degree in journalism from the University of Helsinki, but spent most of her time as a student exploiting the university’s exchange programs. She ended up studying politics in Manchester and shooting documentaries in South Africa, where she caught the travel bug and now goes country hopping as often as she can.
