Charlie Kindel is currently a founder and CTO of a stealth startup in the Seattle area. Prior to August 2011, Mr. Kindel served as the General Manager for the Windows Phone Developer Ecosystem at Microsoft. In this role, Mr. Kindel drove the cross-Microsoft effort to create a world-class application and game marketplace for Windows Phone 7. He also ran the product design team that built the Windows Phone 7 Application Platform. During his 21 year tenure at Microsoft, Charlie repeatedly drove innovative and successful Microsoft technologies and products including Premier Support, Internet Explorer, ActiveX, Windows NT, Windows home networking, Windows Media Center, Windows Home Server, and Windows Phone 7. He led by holistically balancing business, user experience, and technology investments in some of the most complex businesses in the world. Mr. Kindel specializes in developer platforms and ecosystems, consumer products, mobile, and cloud technologies. He is known as a visionary innovator who has mastered cross-organizational and company collaboration. Mr Kindel is a sought after public speaker and advisor.
