Cassio Spina is a entrepreneur and a angel investor with over 25 years experience in tech industry.
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Cassio Spina self-learned computer programming at mid-80s in his teenage years and was involved with the first Bulletin Board Systems in Brazil in pre-internet era. He founded and started-up his first business when completing 20 years-old, a data communications software development company and after sucessful growth of his business, just after completing his graduation in Electronics Engineering at Escola Politecnica of University of Sao Paulo, found his second business, Trellis, a computer networking hardware manufacturer.
He developed Trellis as a major player in Brazil in computer networking industry in Brazil, acquiring and merging other companies and receiving investment from VCs. After 18 years he completed his entrepreneur cycle selling his business and started-up investing in new companies as angel investor, such as Inovadrinks and ZoeMob and is the founder of Anjos do Brasil (www.anjosdobrasil.net) a angel network focused on fostering angel investment for supporting inovative entrepreneurs in Brazil.
He is also the author of the book “Investidor-Anjo - Guia Prático para Empreendedores e Investidores” (transl. “Angel-Investor - Pratical Guide for Entrepreneur and Investors”).
