Carol Mackinlay runs Human Resources for Coverity, the leader in providing software to improve code quality and security. Coverity is a privately held company headquartered in San Francisco, and has received Series A funding from Benchmark Capital and Foundation Capital.
She is the former Vice President of Worldwide Human Resources for both Aliph/Jawbone and Plantronics – manufacturers of wireless headsets – and for CodeGear, the developer tools group that represented the original product base for Borland.
Ms. MacKinlay was a strategic, financial and operations consultant – both in private practice and as a member of a major consulting firm. She has held executive and analytic positions for Providian Financial, Blue Cross of California, and the City of San Jose. She has been a Board member for Junior Achievement, the Santa Cruz County Business Council, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the Santa Cruz Workforce Investment Board.
She has a BA in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley, and a MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in Venture Management.
