Carmel Gerber, Founder & VP Business Development, has ten years experience in financial advisory work with technology companies. Prior to Playce, Carmel was a VP at TriplePoint Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture debt firm. Prior to TriplePoint, Carmel covered a broad range of technology companies in the Equity Research departments of Thomas Weisel Partners, Robertson Stephens and Smith Barney. While at Weisel, Carmel moved from the research department to advise senior management on the bank’s own IPO process. Additionally, Carmel has advised companies on M&A, corporate finance, IPO and leverage finance transactions while in the Investment Banking group at Lehman Brothers’. Carmel holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MPhil from Oxford University, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
