Carla Yashiro is an entrepreneur, a marketing communications and social media specialist, and an Emmy® Award-Winning producer. As Corporate Marketing Manager at GoldSpot Media, Carla oversees both traditional and non-traditional marketing campaigns that effectively target mobile publishers, advertisers and ad agencies in support of the company’s mobile app and ad campaign creation tools. Prior to GoldSpot Media, Carla was Senior Promotions Producer at Telemundo NBC Universal. During her 12-year tenure, she held a variety of positions in which she gained significant experience in marketing, branding, promotions, public relations, social media and overall television production. With her deep marketing experience that she gained from Telemundo, Carla co-founded “Gather Your Crowd,†a marketing consultancy firm that specializes in social media, branding, promotions and public relations. She was hired by Berkeley Haas School of Business and invited by Stanford University to present webinars about the use of social media tools for business. Carla has also been interviewed by a wide variety of national Spanish and English media for her expertise on the topic of social media. Carla earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio-TV-Film from San Jose State University in California.
