As president and CEO , Butch is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction, as well as evangelizing PlanetEye’s unique value proposition.
Prior to joining PlanetEye, Butch was president and CEO with Truition Inc. During his four-year tenure, Truition was named to the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, which ranks the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Canada, by achieving impressive five-year revenue growth of 565%.
Butch led Truition’s expansion into the U.K. and Germany, which let him explore many parts of Europe as part of his day-to-day activities. These travels and the challenges encountered during initial visits to these cities now play a key role in PlanetEye’s strategic vision.
Prior to Truition, Butch was the president and chief financial officer with BuyBuddy Inc., a Web and wireless comparative shopping destination. He also has experience working in the larger business world having been VP, finance and operations for Rogers New Media, Canada’s largest integrated media company. Butch also spent five years in senior financial management roles with Stentor, the official alliance organization of the Canadian national telephone companies.
