Brian Wilson's Beard belongs to the closer for the San Francisco Baseball Giants. The beard is so intimidating that it inspired the slogan, "Fear the beard," which was adopted by Giants fans during the team's run to the playoffs in 2010.
Wilson's Beard has no plans for shaving or for ending its current relationship with Wilson's Mohawk.
Overall, Wilson's 48 saves led the major leagues in 2010, and his 1.81 earned run average and 93 strikeouts over 74 2/3 innings were better than those of any San Francisco Giant, bearded or not, since Robb Nen in 1998.
Reports indicate that Wilson's Beard is indeed feared by many and may soon be prohibited in at least 30 states.
